New Jobs Created at Sureclean
Sureclean, a specialist industrial cleaning and environmental waste management company, has today announced the creation of 12 new jobs in its Aberdeen and Alness branches as a result of business expansion.
The company, which recently reported an unprecedented 48% growth in turnover this year, is currently on target to reach a record turnover of £8 million by the end of 2007.
Three of the new appointments are senior management positions, including an environmental business manager, who will continue the recent development and expansion of the company’s waste management services. Other new positions include trainee projects engineers, joining under Sureclean’s management development programme, as well as additional administration staff and field workers. Eight of the new positions will be based in Alness and four will be in Aberdeen.
John Barron, managing director of Sureclean, said: “2007 has already been a record year for Sureclean in terms of recruitment. We have invested more than £1 million in the business and have won a large amount of new contracts in the last 12 months alone, leading to our most recent recruitment drive. All of our service areas have seen an increase in turnover, with coatings removal, vacuum transfer and waste management services receiving the biggest upturn this year.
“Perhaps one of the most challenging facets in our industry today is the skills shortage of both senior and ground level staff, leading to a greater focus on training and people development.”
Sureclean now have representation in several overseas locations following successful trade missions and market evaluation trips to regions such as the Middle East and North Africa. John continued: “As well as our growing domestic business, we have also seen an increase in demand for our services abroad. We see this as one of our most promising long-term growth areas, and we expect to at least double our foreign trade over the next two years”.
